Symptom
You have converted your system from an MDMP one to Unicode. You find that it is not possible to assign a suitable codepage in view
V_P_LOG_CP as described in note 514967. As a result, the characters in the Activity Logs appear garbled after the conversion of the system from MDMP to Unicode.

Symptom
While converting the contents of the document, Invalid characters results after conversion due to inappropriate selection of codepage.
Ex: German umlaut ‘? results as ‘#’ after conversion.

Symptom
This note handles the following symptoms:
1: the method ‘GET_TEMP_DIRECTORY’ of class ‘CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES’ does not return the ‘temp’ directory but the users home directory.
2: the applet uses absolute urls to get the applet from the mime repository as well as to communicate with the R/3. This gives often problems if reverse proxies are used.
