Symptom
You cannot start SAP MaxDB database Version 7.7.04 or higher and it reports an I/O error.
Previously, you executed a DROP SNAPSHOT statement in the ONLINE operational state, and the database was terminated incorrectly (that is, without another savepoint) while this was happening or shortly afterwards due to a crash, for example.
