Symptom

In the System Landscape Directory (SLD), objects of the class SAP_J2EEEngineCluster are created for systems that consist only of ABAP instances. The objects are of course spurious, but are re-created if deleted.

Reason and Prerequisites

The function module KONSISTENZABGLEICH_SCR_SLD transfers data about CCMS agents, DSR components, and remote monitoring relationships from the CCMS System Component Repository to the SLD. Due to an error in coding, the function module, running in the CCMS background dispatching job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP, creates J2EE System entries in the SLD for each local system in which the function module runs and can access an SLD.
Solution

Install the correction instruction or associated support package.
The CCMS monitoring data in the SLD is needed only by the central NetWeaver Administrator NWA as of Release 7.00 NW04s. If you are not using the central NWA, then you can deactivate the KONSISTENZABGLEICH_SCR_SLD function module by removing the Release to run of the CCMS method definition CCMS_SCR_SLD_Consistency_Check. Start transaction RZ21, Display the Overview of Method Definitions. Edit method CCMS_SCR_SLD_Consistency_Check. On the Release tab, remove the mark at Data Collection Method.
