Symptom

In the KU region (field RELID), the cluster table INDX still contains entries that are no longer required and that cause problems during the Unicode conversion.

Reason and Prerequisites

In the CO summarization or in the order summarization (transactions KKRC or KKRS), the table INDX is used as temporary storage. These temporary entries are still retained after the processing and are initialized only if the summarization is restarted. In a Unicode conversion, these records can cause problems.
Solution

Before the Unicode conversion, the report INDX_KU_DELETE is called via the report UMG_ADD_PREP_STEP and deletes the obsolete entries.
Implement the correction instructions attached to this note before you execute UMG_ADD_PREP_STEP. Create the report INDX_KU_DELETE in the development class KKB.
