Symptom

You are running the Business Connector 4.8 with the default SAP JVM and need to upgrade that JVM to a higher patch level.

Truncated SOAP body, EOFException, SSL, https, OutOfMemoryError

Solution

Shut down the SAP Business Connector. From “http://service.sap.com/sbc-download –> Software Updates –> Software Updates for SAP BC Release 4.8″ download the file “sapjvm_5.1.040_ .zip” corresponding to the platform on which the SAP BC is installed. Unzip this file into the directory /Server/ and make sure the unzip process uses subfolder names and overwrites the existing files.
Note: don’t delete the contents of the /Server/jvm folder prior to unzipping the patch! Otherwise you will loose the “Java Cryptography Extension Jurisdiction Policy” files. (See note 1240081, if these files have been deleted accidentally.)
Note: If you apply the update to a SAP Business Connector Developer, please make sure to remove the JVM options -Xminf0.15 -Xmaxf0.2 from integrator.bat or integrator.sh, as those parameters are no longer supported by SAP JVM 5.1.040. If you don’t remove them, your SAP Business Connector Developer will not start any more.
