Symptom
This note contains information about known error causes that lead to message 00 123 “Invalid GUI input data”.

This problem occurs for composite radio buttons after keyboard navigation to a radio button and a subsequent dialog with the application server.

This problem occurs when you use function keys (such as F1, F4, and so on) for table control titles and column headers or tabstrip titles, or when you click blank Custom Control areas.
The system issues a different error message for these problems if you use SAP GUI 710 (see Note 1173811).

Problems occur when you use the keyboard and not the mouse to make selections in combo boxes.

The focus is set to an invisible Custom Control.

You enter invalid double-byte characters using Copy&Paste.

You want to send more than 30 KB data to the application server.

There is an error in the kernel.
There is an error in the SAP GUI.
Solution
Use transaction ST20 to analyze the errors.
