Symptom

1. Automatic task execution results in error state
2. Field ‘BO Action’ is empty within tab ‘Action’ of task type configuration (transaction SBTM_TTC) in case of automatic tasks

Reason and Prerequisites

Prerequisite: This issue occurs only if the task type configuration for an automatic task has either no entry or empty attributes (example: BO Action) maintained for background task related data of automatic tasks.
Reason: The task type ID within the background task related entry is not handled properly during activation via BC. Due to this, the BC deployment of the erroneous task type configuration would always result in corrupt background task related entry being maintained in the relevant configuration table.

Perform the following manual activity steps after the automatic correction instructions.
1. Go to transaction SE38 (ABAP Editor)
2. Enter ‘RSBTM_TYP_REPAIR_AT_CACHE’ in field ‘Program’
3. Click on button ‘Execute’ (or press F8)
4. Click on button ‘Yes’ within the popup ‘Are you sure you want to correct cache data of all automatic task types?’
5. If corrupt cache data exists, the message ‘Corrupt cache data of automatic tasks have been corrected successfully’ should be displayed in the status bar. If not, the message ‘No corrupt cache data exists for selected automatic task types’ is displayed
