Symptom

No statistics records that were written before a certain point of time are displayed in STAD, although statistics files still exist that cover an earlier time period.

Reason and Prerequisites

The problem is caused by an error in the SAP kernel. The area in which the statistics files are managed in the kernel may have been destroyed by a parallel processing condition. Then you can no longer access from files that are older than the file whose area was destroyed.
Solution

You can correct the problem as of the patch level specified under “SP Patch Level” by setting the profile parameterstat/use_hypind_lockingto the value TRUE. There is no workaround for this problem.
