Symptom

You perform a heterogeneous system copy of a SAP NetWeaver BW system. SAP NetWeaver BW tables are created without database specific features like partitioning in the target database.

Reason and Prerequisites

During migration, it is not checked whether report SMIGR_CREATE_DDL has been executed or whether the .SQL files generated by SMIGR_CREATE_DDL are available in the DB/ subdirectory of the export such that R3load can read the correct CREATE TABLE / CREATE INDEX statements for the target database platform.

Solution

With this note, SMIGR_CREATE_DDL creates an additional file SQLFiles.LST which contains a list of all generated SQL files. The SAPinst installation program reads this file and checks whether all listed .SQL files exist in the correct location.
