Symptom

During SORT, a termination occurs in connection with internal tables that
are shared with tables in the shared objects area.

Reason and Prerequisites

Due to a kernel error, the system write-accesses the read-only memory during SORT for tables that are shared in the shared objects area, and that already contained a sorting index. This causes a termination.
Solution

Apply the most recent kernel patch. For the lowest patch level for the relevant release, see the section “Support Package patch level”.

Check SAP Service Marketplace to see whether the patch is already available for your platform, and apply it in accordance with Note 19466.
