Symptom

The error SET_PARAMETER_MEMORY_OVERFLOW occurs due to overwriting in the SAP Memory. Since overwriting occurs only in the internal parts of the SAP Memory and not at its beginning or end, the general memory consistency check cannot recognize this error situation.
Due to a kernel patch, the system performs a specific check that analyzes the internal consistency of the SAP Memory during the general memory consistency check. Therefore, errors can be determined earlier than previously. So far, this error has occurred only for the following access using SET/GET PARAMETER ID.
As a result, the memory check of the SAP Memory is automatically included in the ABAP memory monitoring, which can be activated using the ABAP debugger.
Enhancement:
In 700 and 701, the system performs an explicit test after a new alternative mode is created (kernel patch level 700: 176; 701 : 9)
Enhancement:
By setting the profile value dynp/sapmemory_watch to a value greater than zero in 700 and 701, the system performs a SAP Memory consistency check before and after each module call of the screen flow logic (kernel patch level 700 : 178; 701 : 11)

Solution

Import the relevant kernel patch.
