Special characters in FormattedTextEdit/View controls

Symptom
Appication uses FormattedTextView or FormattedTextEdit Webdynpro control to display formatted text. If the displayed text contains special characters from the range that is not allowed by XML specification (0×000 to 0×008), the WebDynpro Application screen is incorrectly rendered and does not react on user actions.
