Symptom

This problem affects only non-Unicode systems.
During the Excel export of a query from the SAP List Viewer (ALV) in a system with
Release 6.40 or higher, the dump “CONVT_CODEPAGE” may occur.
This occurs particularly when the column headers contain East Asian characters.
The last character of a column header may also be truncated in all releases.

Reason and Prerequisites

The ALV column headers have a maximum length of 40 characters. However, the header texts can be longer.
If the character at position 40/41 is a double byte character
(for example, in JA), this character is destroyed when it is truncated.
This problem is caused by a program error.
Solution

Implement the correction instructions using the Note Assistant or import the
relevant Support Package.
