Symptom

In the data browser, you choose:
“Table Entry” -> “Transport Entries”
to add entries from a Customizing table to a transport request.
However, you can specify only a workbench request as a transport request (regardless of the delivery class of the table). You cannot use a Customizing request.

Reason and Prerequisites

This problem is caused by a fixed restriction on the use of workbench requests.
Solution

Import the specified Support Package or implement the attached correction instructions.
This removes the fixed restriction on workbench requests. Customizing requests are used for tables with the following delivery classes:
C: This is a Customizing table that can be maintained only by customers (no SAP import).G: This is a Customizing table that is protected against update by SAP (only insert mode allowed).
