Basis Errors and Solutions

Symptom

An error occurs in phase PARCONV_UPG. Stored procedures such as sap_get_object_type and sap_get_single_table_of_index are missing.
These objects were supposed to be created in phase MAIN_NEWBAS/JOB_MSSSPEXE, but they were not created because of the lack of S_DBCON authority for user DDIC.

Reason and Prerequisites

In SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EhP2 and SAP NetWeaver 7.2 and 7.3 the function module MSS_RUN_SQL2 was changed. This introduced a permission error which only occurs in upgrades.
Solution

This note was used to submit the correction for the releases listed above. It is not necessary to apply the corrections using the Notes Assistant because upgrades will not be done to these releases at the support package level where this error exists.
