Symptom

When you export a Web Dynpro ABAP ALV list that represents a hierarchy, the column header of the hierarchy is not displayed in Excel or is displayed only partially.
This problem occurs if hierarchy columns are hidden.

This problem is caused by a program error.
When you fill the generic structure with column information in the class cl_salv_bs_tt_result_table, method fill_columns, the system processes only visible columns and does not process hierarchical columns. However, the system must also get the hierarchy column header for the invisible columns. Therefore, the system now queries whether a column is invisible only after the column header of the hierarchy has been obtained.
Test:
Execute the Web Dynpro application SALV_WD_TEST_TABLE_PROPS. In the settings dialog on the “Display” tab page, select the “Hierarchy” option. Choose the “Define” pushbutton to specify one or more hierarchy columns. Activate the settings.
In the lower area, set all of the columns that you defined as hierarchy columns to invisible. Then choose “Apply”.
Now export the view to Excel. The hierarchy column header should be displayed.

Exception:
Certain applications, for example, SRM 6.0 Support Package 02 (Note 1048612), require a certain SAP NetWeaver Support Package. You must check for these prerequisites before you import the specified SAP NetWeaver Support Package.
