Symptom

The ABAP Dictionary F4 search help does not work in a Web Dynpro ABAP ALV list. In ABAP Dictionary input helps that require several entries from an ABAP Dictionary structure, the system cannot determine the values of these fields.

Reason and Prerequisites

This problem is caused by a program error.
In the class cl_salv_wd_c_table_v_table in the method if_salv_wd_comp_table_data_events~on_f4_ddic, the method if_salv_wd_comp_table_data_events~do_f4 is not called. This means that the input help occurs in the context nodes of the ALV (which do not contain the ABAP Dictionary information).

Exception:
Certain applications (for example, SRM 6.0 Support Package 02 (Note 1048612)) require a certain SAP NetWeaver Support Package. You must check for these prerequisites before you import the specified SAP NetWeaver Support Package.

In urgent cases, you can implement the correction instructions as an advance correction.

Before you implement the advance correction (if it is available and you want to implement it), see Note 875986. It contains current corrections that affect SAP Note Assistant and prevent problems during an import. After you implement the composite SAP Note, you must call transaction SNOTE again.
